Aerostone Archway
Enhancing an archway with Aerostone
Bunbury
Aerostone architectural mouldings are not limited to simple plain or profile bands to be used around homes as added features, they can be used for a variety of other purposes such as keystones, quoining (for corner pieces) window sils and skirts but also for curves and arches.
We were asked by a Builder recently to add Aerostone curved bands to an archway at the front of a home they were building as it would take a considerable amount of time for it to be traditionally rendered as opposed to using Aerostone.
Thanks to the flexibility of being able to customise the products to the requirements of the job during ordering, it was as simple as taking a few measurements and having bands cut to the right profile of the archway.
Once the bands were installed and the underside of the archway was rendered using the Aerostone adhesive, the bands only require sanding and a coat of AcraSand (textured paint) to give it a finished surface similar to render.
This allows for a smooth and time efficient process for the Builder to have their requirements met while achieving a finish equal to the traditional render process.
